We’re a family of three; me and my two adventurous kiddos; always looking for new places to explore, wild animals to meet, and fun, unique experiences to dive into. From van life road trips to tropical islands and hidden corners of the world, we’re all about nature, exploring, family travel and adventure. Read more about us.

Our family travel experiences
Our adventures range from road-tripping through Europe in our van, to exploring the wild corners of Central America and Southeast Asia. We’re drawn to nature, wildlife, local food, and trying to get off-the-beaten-track. Plus doing a lot of dreaming and planning for future adventures!
Here you’ll find honest stories from the road, practical guides for travelling with kids, and inspiration for families looking to do things a little differently – whether that’s a weekend trip close to home or a longer escape across the world.

Personal Stories – Family Travel
Not everything fits into a guide. Some of our most meaningful experiences come from moments you can’t plan – navigating solo parenthood on the road, finding joy in the unexpected, or just seeing the world through your children’s eyes. These are the stories I write for the heart.
Destinations – Family Travel
We don’t aim to see everything – we try to spend longer in each country. Here are some of the places we’ve loved, with guides to help you plan your own journey.
- Indonesia: We travelled here in 2024 and loved exploring new and different islands. It might be my most visited country. From looking for Orangutans from a houseboat in Indonesian Borneo, to climbing Mount Bromo with kids, debating which Gili island is the best for families, to trying to answer the question if Bali really is the best place for a family holiday. There are so many islands to explore; each with a different vibe. You’ll definitely find something for you.
- Thailand: One of my favourite countries; and we spend 2 months exploring here a couple of years ago. I did my divemaster on Koh Tao, and loved it with the girls. Exploring Bangkok as a family was actually great, and Chiang Mai also offers so much. Krabi or Koh Phi Phi are other great stops.
- France & The Alps – Van life in the mountains and winter adventures
- India: You can never see it all! We spent time here last year and can’t wait to go back
Van Life with Kids
We hit the road whenever we can; particularly during the winter, but have also explored across Western Europe (especially Italy) and Morocco. These posts share the reality of van travel as a solo parent with two kids – the logistics, the freedom, and the occasional chaos.
